Winter often sees a rise in the number of spiders entering your home looking for somewhere warm and dry to overwinter. Dont be too hard on them though, they are an important part of the foodchain and actually keep other creepy crawlies numbers down.
Most British spiders are harmless but there has been plenty in the news lately about the False Widow Spider. False widows are venomous, but its symptoms are usually nothing more than a wasp sting. We would always advise catching any spiders and putting them outside or in the garden shed before calling for pest control.
If, as is sometimes the case, your house seems to be prone to large numbers of spiders, we will come round and comprehensively treat your entire house to lessen the number of spiders you will get, but ask for this to be done as a last resort.
